EcoCARE Pacific Trust - Past Projects 2006

Projects completed in 2006

The trust affords informal advice and support on health, environmental and educational initiatives to ministries when this is requested.

Education, Health and the Environment are intimately related to each other and with access to expertise, facilities and current information most problems that confront us are quite solvable.

This same philosophy applies to the problems confronting the people of the Pacific Nations, but as most live in third world or developing nations they do not have access to the same information or facilities as those in the first world.

With this in mind EcoCARE Pacific Trust endeavours to facilitate and initiate programs and relationships with institutions and organisations that have expertise with those that require that expertise.

One of our initiatives involves providing scholarships for local Pacific Island students to study for undergraduate and post graduate degrees under the supervision of researchers from, in this case, the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand.

We also enable access to facilities and we support the development of access to information and education by supplying computers, books, stationery and other materials that enhance the informational and educational processes.
